Pictures don't do this thing justice. It has to be seen in person to recognize how great the design of this thing is. If it plays half as well as it looks, then it will be great.

Saw the MX70 as well, but didn't get it, couldnt justify getting both. MX70 looks nice as well, not as stiff (noticeably) but balance appears to be the same. Certainly would be the racket of choice if you were too tired to use the MX80.

Will review in a couple of weeks, and will try and compare with the SW35.

Ahh, I am depressed. Broke my string on my mx80 for the first time ever! :'( was using bg66 um at 25 lbs. Thinking of using nbg 98 next but what tension should I use to get a similar/ same feeling allowing for tension loss?

I just bought a MX80 4u. Strangely in Vietnam they only have 4u, no 3u. But victor racket here are cheaper. This MX80 costs me about $130 include victor string.

anyway, a first few swings with it, i know i will like it very much. I am using ns9900 and amazingly, this mx80 is almost as fast. And it also have a more lively feel than the ns9900.

I feel that the mx80 is only slightly head heavy, more toward even balance. I should be able to adapt to it from my ns9900 quickly without much effort.

If I were you I wouldn't go for the nbg98, because in my opinion it's to slippery and not durable enough. If you want a more durable string with good power the BG80 @ 26 to 27 lbs or Zymax 67 could be the answer.

I find the NBG98 to be durable enough - certainly more durable than the BG66. Use the same tension to get the same feeling - although I would recommend 26lbs or more to avoid the 'dead' feeling both NBGs have at lower tensions.

Second MX80 arrived today. Weighs 92,9g with factory grip and strings, so it probably weighs 87-89g dry.

Ok, thanks, I sent my racquet to be strung at 25lbs. 26lbs would be fine on a more flexible racquet but on this I would probably injure myself but thanks for the help! :-)

Finally, after many months of struggling, considering, and waiting, my MX80 finally arrived last night..

Got a chance to play for 30 minutes ( yes, only 30 minutes ) and I must say, like the other BC member said, an expensive racket played different with a cheap one.. The sound is more crispy, the accuracy is way better, and it demands more perfect-technique ( I don't know why, but last night i can't do smash very well, all of my smash becoming flat )

Many thanks to Eric from SquashMart.. If it not bcoz of him, I wouldn't buy this racket.. He gave me the best price ever, better than others.. I think if I want to buy a new racket, I'm going to buy at him..

    Btw, my MX80's weight is 87G, using 1 RKEP, VS850 @25lbs ( felt like 26/27lbs to me )

My MX80 arrived from HK today, dry weight was measured at 86g, Strung with 66um @ 24 x 26lbs wrapped with yonex ac 102 BP at 297 mm. Initially feels stiffer than my 4u and 3u vt 80. will have to wait until wednesday to test it out. Time to let go of my VT 70....

I would recommend holding on to the VT70 - playing with the MX80 can get very tiring^^ And to smash hard, you really have to get behind the shuttle and put everything into the smash. The VT80 is noticeably easier to play with for me, but it doesn't 'help' you when you're tired either...

I am very used to playing with my 3u vt80 for a couple of month now, there is no way I am going back to my VT70 as it feels way too 'light'. Maybe I should replace my replacement grip on my MX80 to scale down the bp from 298 to around 290 hmm
