Have you seen Peter Gade's towel grip? It looks like half a bath robe wrapped on there!

As in the pic that I've posted, its new and fluffy...
Overlapping is only at the start of the wrapping while the rest is side by side.
How I wish I can join the 300mm club.
The grip used is from a big roll that has enought to wrap 15 rackets. Had not measured the thickness or weight but it sure looks thick and heavy. It looks thicker than those grip from yonex.
Will do the measurements on the next change.

I also use 15m rolls, but they're never as thick
Who in the world uses Yonex? Not even Yonex-sponsored players do^^
Anyhow, try to get some thinner grip, and the BP will be higher up...although, as mentioned before in many threads, adding weight at the bottom will not make your racket quicker, so removing it won't make it more powerful either
If you're dead set on getting more head weight, add some lead tape between 10 and 11 and between 1 and 2 o'clock positions, and maybe some at 5 and 7.Last edited by j4ckie; 10-10-2011 at 05:38 AM.

Or if you really want to increase the BP, use RKEP G09 on bare wood (G2)

I prefer the feel of towel grip, but there always to thick
i can't feel bevel bit when I play a backhand clear, unless I'm using a thin overgrip. Which is a shame

Try and go with 1,5g - that'll be enough to change the BP noticeably. 15g is insane - not only will the racket be very heavy, it'll also put a lot of stress on the shaft or even frame because the racket's not designed to hold up against so much weight.

Pretty sure that was a typo.
Keep in mind though, even 1.5g is TWELVE pieces of Victor tape
I put 10 pieces on my BS11 to take it from circa 290 to 305.Last edited by Maklike Tier; 10-12-2011 at 04:34 AM.

Prices are now the same as the local prices.

There's been a few grumblings around these neck of the woods by the local Victor distributor about online prices undercutting theirs. The have been trying to stem the flow of foreign code Victor rackets and I'm sure some the noises made have reached Victor HQ. Online vendors may have been told to up their prices in order to protect the distributors.

Prior to Victor line being pulled from RKEP...the MX80 was going for US$150 + US$25 shipping = US$175 total.
Victor line re-instated to RKEP...the MX80 is US$175 + free shipping.
So basically works out to be the same.
Buy bulk or group buy to maybe get a discount?
Ask Eric if you want to know for sure.
Last time I checked...the local prices (Vancouver, Canada) for MX80 was going for CDN$165 + 12%tax = CDN$185.
The difference is about $10 and 10 free RKEP grips.
Still worth it to buy from RKEP (as long as you like the RKEP grips).
