i saw the mavis 500 in the yonex japan website. the ones they sell in the philippines are the 350's and lower models.

Too the best of my knowledge, both nylon and feathered shuttles are the same weight. The feeling that nylons are "heavier," is because of the way they are built, they collapse and spring back to shape at a different speed.

Agree.

I actually weighted nylone (Hiqua Hummingbrid) and feather (Aeroplay 111 - G1130), they are quite the same.

However, the feeling is surely different. I believe this more or less due to feather are separated piecec, but nylon's skirt is twisted "whole" body. Therefore, nylon cork will provide more "concentrated" forces. Not very sure whether this makes any sense or not.
