First off I personally do not wear it nor own this product, but just a general question if anybody wears this when playing matches? Does it really claim to improve "balance, strength, endurance & flexibility?" I think IMO it's more so a placebo effect.
Somebody has been paying attention http://gizmodo.com/5723577/powerbalance-admits-their-wristbands-are-a-scam
If you really want to try one but don't want to pay the $30 to $60 for one, there's a website which is selling nearly exactly the same product (it's apparently from the same factory where Power Balance gets theirs). Their product is only $2 (plus postage) and is called the "Placebo Band" They claim that their product is just as effective as the original Power Balance bands! Which is to say, not at all. Click here for the website.
Anyone who did used to wear one, surely won't come forward now . I do know someone who bought them for fun. Or a similar one, don't think they were the originals ... Not to mention the braindeads also know as the dutch football team who (some of) proudly sported them (probably got paid well for it) under the "can't hurt to try" motto ...
Powerband just got namd from using scientific evidence on their packaging in Australia because the consumer watchdog said they have no actual effect. However lots of international badminton players use phiten products, most high profile would be Lee Chong Wei
ok, I'll admit that I brought a Phiten necklace a couple year ago. It was mostly because it looked cool, fun and who wouldn't want to wear what LCW wear. It was similar reason we buy rackets that TH uses but knowing we'll never play like him The other reason was my neck and shoulder was in constant pain a couple years ago. If these stuffs work, putting on a phiten necklace around my pain spot, it should help, right? Conclusion: No, it didn't help :crying::crying:. I eventually found a chiropractor to relieve my pain. However, the cool necklace did make me feel like 10 years younger
Should've just got yourself a pet rock and asked it for advise on pain relief. I hear LCW loves pet rocks.
The Arco Arena where the Sacramento Kings play will soon be renamed to the Power Balance Pavilion http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6013833
