Could anyone someone please explain to me the proper way to cut strings off a racket in the case that it snaps or if you were to restring it? I've previously looked into it and read this topic. But I don't understand what some of them are trying to explain, the proper way to do it, as well as some of the terms such as main. If possible could someone show me a visual representation of the proper way to cut the strings? Thanks!
The way I do it is to cut one of the centre most mains and the centre cross together, then go one or two diagonally up, then opposite diagonally down then up then down etc. Don't pussy-foot around, you want to minimise the time that the frame is under uneven tension, since even with several cut strings the adjaced ones will hold for some time. Once the cut strings stop popping with a lot of force (ie most of the tension has already been released) i just cut all the rest as i feel like it. Not saying it's 100% correct, but it's worked for me so far.
Check the diagram on this site will give U a very good idea. I however do it in steps but following the same path: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...mage-of-the-Yonex-Old-Standard-String-Pattern
