    Hello everyone

New to the forum, have come here because since moving south of Sydney I have been unable to find anywhere to play badminton

I was hoping to find a small group somewhere that meet up to knock a few around. I'm looking more for a social thing rather than competitive as I have got slack in my old age and I need to get fit again.

I played a lot in the UK but I'm by know means a GREAT player I enjoy playing doubles more then singles.

I did ask at my local leisure center (as my partner plays too) and they were like " oh yes we have a badminton court but don't have any badminton equipment:confused:....like nets and stuff..lol

anyway if anyone knows of anywhere I live in Thirlmere (picton/bargo area) but I work in Sydney.

    Dear Mr. Dullbird,

I doubt if there are any players/clubs in Bargo/Picton area. You will have to join players/clubs that are mostly nearer the city. The nearest one would be at Liverpool where badminton are being played at the Gough Whitlam centre off M4 ( half an hour from your place) or at Fairfield. There are players playing at Hurstville at the Aquatic Centre that is also off M4.

Otherwise you may have to consider playing after work say after 8.00pm at the clubs in inner Sydney
    (universities of Sydney or UNSW,Dulwich Hill,Punchbowl e.t.c.)

Best of luck and I hope you will have find a group of players to play with.
