Default How much profit margin for shuttlecocks

Vendors out there, say a tube/dozen shuttlecock cost $50, what is the profit margin generally? Surprisingly here in Malaysia everytime I ask for a loyalty discount I got brushed off with " Can't do it bro coz it's not very profitable selling birdies".

Well... hard to say... mostly yes...
and also you have to see the market price of that region...
some shuttles are selling very cheap in the north... and expensive at the south... etc...
by going too low under market price you get complained by others and you might get cut by the supplier...

Hmmm . i guess you got to watch the video of how they making the shuttlecocks. You only can use 5-8 feathers from the left wing of the bird for making those high-end shuttles, which one shuttlecocks they have 16 feathers.

Yes, I can say confidently that profit margins are not respectable at all. Quite honestly, I only sell birdies as a way to gain customers for my stringing business/selling grips, strings, rackets, and shoes and bags and other stuff
