White Black Red Blue Yellow Green Orange Purple Pink Silver Gold Or mixed im just wondering what everybody's favourite colour racket is because people at my club all prefer different colours mines white because it looks pure and it's smart
White always looks nice on rackets but not many high end frames use white in great quantities. Black can also look pretty sleek; actually, black is the main colour on the majority of the rackets I currently own and play with. I think this is purely coincidence but black does tend to look nice. I'm not a great fan of bright colours on rackets.
I buy mine based on price, but I would like a chrome style racquet, so that's probably silver on your list.
Which racquets have you got in chrome? I saw some at the AE2009 but I couldn't afford them at the time =( Can't remember the make though
White almost always looks cheap (eg. any racket made by Babolat). On the other hand, if it's done well, it can look really amazing (eg. Arc10PG). Personally, I'm less bothered about color, and more interested in texture and finish. I like sparkly paint; combinations of matt and gloss finish; pearlescent paints; chrome and hologram finish; fake wood finish (eg. RSL Laser 800) ; unpainted graphite; exposed woven carbon. I'm also very much looking forward to the new Trinity Pro, which is going to be black and sparkly gold - a combination I've been wanting to do for a while
I think you are on to 3 winning ideas there! Holographic rackets sound EPIC! Are there any racquets currently with holographic designs on them?
At least one of the Bravesword series uses small amounts of hologram type material on the frame. It would look pretty crap over a large area - same goes for chrome. I'd love a glossy black racket with a design done in matt black. Or a glossy white racket with a design in matt white. And by design, I mean something like on the karakal tattoo rackets. I also like retro designs. I remember a few years ago a ski manufacturer (one of the French ones, but I forget which) brought out a couple of new skis, using modern technology, but with the graphics from an old world cup ski they made decades earlier. It would be kind of cool if one of the badminton companies with a bit of heritage did the same with their rackets. Another interesting ski was the Rossi Scratch, which was made to look "distressed" - like it had been burned or something, so you could see the materials inside. That would be pretty cool on a woven racket. http://images04.olx.fr/ui/4/05/16/65139916_4-Vend-Ski-Rossignol-Scratch-FS-WRS-167-cm-A-Vendre.jpg
what about a seethrough racket that would be amazing the oppoment will only be able to see your grip lmao
Nothing great. Apacs Feather Weight 200, which has the paint chipped off easily, and I have it with 4 chipped paint on it on day 1 using it. The other is Oliver Organic 1, the problem with the chrome on this racket is not even. I took it because only one left and it is in my budget.
