GWS/TKS has a reasonably challenging first round match against Bosch/Ridder, but they have beaten them before in straight games and they should hopefully do it again. Next up : Hashimoto/Hirata or FCM/LSM. If it's Fang/Lee, GWS/TKS has a reasonable chance to enter QF but it it's the JPN pair, they might find it a very uphill task. VERY SCARY HALVES with CY/FHF, KSH/YYS and MB/CM in top half and JJS/LYD, MK/HS, KKK/TBH in bottom half. MD is truly one of the toughest events...

    Fairuz/OSH = 1st or 2nd round loss, GTC/TBS first round loss.

Wouldn't get too high hopes on XD, if I were you. WS and WD is very reasonable though.

Simon, Sony, Hayom will face seeded in R1, hope at least one of them prevail........

Fanetri, Aprilia and Firda have to crawl from q-round, with Aprilia and Firda will battle it out for 1 spot in main draw, and have to face LL in R1 (tough world)........

    No hope for Febe..........

Boe/Mogensen will be heavy favourite to lift md title.......this will prove their consistency........

Bad draw all around for Ina wd........

Most of Ina xd are in top half, while Nova/Vita could quietly sneak out from the bottom half.......

Between Simon-SDK-Hayom, I guess Simon has better chance to progress into R/16 but Boonsak is good shuttlers too...

    Waiting for your Reply !!

I've been reading many of your posts and you could say I agree with your comments very much indeed. After today's Malaysian Open victory for LCW, what do you reckon his chances are for Korean Open 2011?

I just looked through LCW's draw and it seems like a really tough draw for him.Mon and Tues rest, then on Wed his 1st round opponent would be JOJ who played against him in the Super Series Masters Final in Taiwan.JOJ also skipped the MO and he would be fresh and ready for the KO, in addition to the fact that he probably would have analyzed LCW's game.

If LCW overcomes JOJ, next up in the 2nd round would probably be PSH(barring any upsets), who also would be fresh and ready for LCW.On his day, PSH is a match for anyone.

If he overcomes PSH, next up in the quarterfinals would probably be Chen Jin. If he overcomes Chen Jin, his semifinal opponent would come from one of the following group. (Kenichi Tago, Shon Wan Ho, Sony Dwi Kuncoro, Bao ChunLai or Chen Long)

If he overcomes his semifinal opponent, his final opponent most probably would be Lin Dan( I am very sure Lin Dan will not WO since there are no China players in his half of the draw).Only probable reason for him to withdraw is if he is really injured.

The fact that he has just won the MO and the lack of rest/recovery time, not to mention the flight to Korea and sponsorship and media obligations, I personally feel he is not in the right frame of mind and form for this Korean Open.If he does win this Korean Open, it would really surprise me.The field is very strong here, all the best players are here. What do you think of his chances undeadshot?...I hope LCW wins it although I personally feel it is quite impossible.

Let's just say that I agree with your analysis. I too do not expect LCW to do well here. If you look at MO 2011, he played well, I admit(well, he played well most of the time anyway...). However, it doesn't appear to me that he is on top form (but I can agree that he is feeling very confident at the moment). I have a feeling that it's more like his opponents were doing far too many errors and gifted that match to him. It's just my gut feeling, I could be horribly wrong.
