Canada East get together?
Hey everyone...
Thought that perhaps we could get something going over the holidays, perhaps in Toronto (most central) and get a few of together to play and then perhaps get some food afterwards.
Everything is general for now, but here are some ideas:
Start to play downtown, perhaps Ryerson, UoT drop in sessions...play for a few hours or till we can't play anymore
Dinner at some all you can eat sushi or something korean...or mcdonalds
Would anyone be interested? Or has anyone tried this before?

Sounds like a neat thing. I like the you can eat sushi thing or Korean Grill house on yonge street or what ever is downtown. Exams starting in about a week so we have to wait till after then.

well it doesn't have to drop in...it could be whatever...cost has to figure in of course so if there are some clubs willing to give us a discount because of the amount of people....but let's see what we can get first

ok time to finish a couple racquets...*sigh*...stringing + school

Toronto meet as well! I'd say badminton until we can't anymore and then go out for drinks : P Maybe wings and drinks? at a pub? It's easier to socialize when you have the opportunity to move around a bit, and I can try and rent out through (through school connections) an entire floor at a pub for this event. I'm from UofT, well was.

so far we have 10 people...so how about we set a date? I suggested anything after the 19th...would people prefer a weekend or a weekday? I don't know many places downtown, the only place I know with a decent price is Agincourt in scarborough...

After 19th but before the 24th. Since it's best to spend xmas with family and not with complete BC strangers. Or we can host it after the 26th, doesn't matter. Let's try not to go to a bar tho since maybe some BC members here are under age, try to keep it a family event.

*cough cough* you
but yeah, let's make this something all-ages friendly. Does not necessarily have to be at a pub, but can be some Asian place with good asian nom noms
I am ok with any day really and since it looks like so is everyone else, how about I propose the 27th or 29th?

Haha I can go take a drink if I want, already legal since september for your information

I'm basically free after the 16th but some people may not be done exams yet since they probably go up until the 19th and for those still in highschool / elementary don't have winterbreak yet so.
Let's see if anyone else has any ideas, so far 27th and 29th are good for me.
