Was there today for the preview sale. Wave Angle, Wave Blocker (6 and 7) and Wave Lightning at 50% off at the World of Sports outlet in Sogo. Wave Vaster selling for RM 89/- (list price is RM 229/-).

Saw only 3 pairs of Wave Angle (25.5, 27 x 2). Maybe 10 pairs each of Wave Lightning and Wave Vaster. Ample stock of Wave Blocker.

Note that you need to be a Sogo Card holder or Maybankard member to enter the premises on Jan 14 - 15.

No, I don't think so, not in the normal priced items, and definitely not in the discounted priced items.

there's a "buy-1-get-1-free" promotion going on too in midvalley the garden's Mizuno outlet.

basically u buy 1 pair of mizuno selected shoes and get another pair for free.
they'll take the higher priced pair as the amount of the bill.

me and one of my mate just bought ourselves a pair of badminton shoes, mine the wave smash wide and his is the wave smash sg2.
we went for the most expensive available there which was these both priced at rm379, and basically got 50% off each.

dnoah maybe u can go check it out.

    lets think again
shoes has expiry date bcoz its made of rubber...
expiry rubber dont perform to the max anymore...that y u dont buy expiry rubber tires for your car...
good things no cheap..cheap things no good

    lets shop them wisely...

Do you know where I can find the expiry date? Or how long before the rubber on the shoe 'expires'?

IIRC, the product code of Mizuno shoes indicate the year the model was introduced (don't know if it's the same as year of manufacture). It's apparently the first number, so 9 would indicate 2009, 0 = 2010, 1 = 2011. Thus, a product code of 7KM-05162 would indicate a 2010 model of Wave Smash RG3.

So if you can tell me how long before the rubber sole starts to degrade, I can then shop wisely.

    Thanks.

my new shoe has the code of 7KM-94527, so it was manufactured in the year 2009 right?
btw i agree with your statement, it's not like shoes are food with expiry date.
i doubt an official mizuno outlet would sell defective goods, or in another sense, "expired" goods

rubber shoe life time is only 18mths
shoe dont mentioned its expiry like car tires...
they only mentioned manufacturing date...check out the box if its printed date code...

Thanks for the info. Like I mentioned, Mizuno product codes indicate the year it was released, which is also most likely the year of manufacture, so it's not a problem to determine if a shoe should be avoided.
