Probably the UK is the easiest place to get them from.

Okay, another 2 hours with the BS12 and it's getting worse. Played three games and for the next game I thought I'd bust out the BS10.

That lasted 3 points before I ran into the stands and grabbed the 12 again!

It's that good. I can't put the thing down.

Can you go in to specifics as to why you prefer the BS12 to the BS10? They say the BS10 is a fairly stiff racket, but honestly, I find it has a fair bit of flex to it. Especially compared to my other two rackets which are far stiffer (8DX and MX80).

just curious but do you have the tw bs10? but yeah, the mx80 is a pretty stiff stick

on a side note, finding it hard to get used to the bs12, swings too fast coming from my at900p. more time is prolly needed before i make a decision

Give it more time. I also had to give it a bit of adjustment time to get used to the swing speed of my BS10. Once I did I was laughing. Still not sure how I feel about that sort of swing speed with medium flex and even balance. Only downside to the BS10 I thought was that it lacked a bit of power (could be down to stringing). Don't see how a more flexible frame and less head heavy design would help in that regard.

Well, it's stiff enough for my level of play, and not to the detriment of directional shot stability, so.....where's the downside? In fact, there's more upsides - less fatiguing than the BS10, and for me at least, more accessible power.

I just don't like stiff rackets. I had a NS9900 and didn't warm to it, had a Forza Ti550 S and though I'd be better off playing with a plank of wood, so stiffness means very little to me. In fact, I'd go so far as to say shaft stiffness, head torsional stability, and swing weighing all make up to how a racket feels and you can't take one aspect in isolation and sum up how you think you're going to feel about a racket just on some arbitrary 'rating' system.

The BS12 seems strange and almost like it shouldn't work. It carries it's weight in the t-joint and shaft, and has a light aerodynamic head, and is medium stiff but doesn't feel any less torsionally stiff than the BS10. It seems like it wouldn't feel terribly nice but I wouldn't trade it for any other racket at the moment - until perhaps they release a medium stiff MX.....what........MX70?

I might try the BS10 with the same stringing (it has BG66M @25lbs, BS12 had VS850 @ 26) so I can make a better comparison, but at this stage I don't really care because the 12 is working for me a treat.

Still, I probably should, huh? *reaches slowly for the scissors*

Is that 25lbs after or before tension loss? I strung my BS10 at 24lbs and tbh, it already feels a lot softer after several games. Want to re-string it now but thinking I might string at 26lbs just so it settles at 24-25lbs.

^^VS850 is infamous for losing tension, even worse than 65Ti. That's why, despite its incredible feel, I abandonned it, and I'm not suprised people are experiencing softening after less than an hour.

before. it has dropped a bit since then, so the feel isn't as great but still quite ok. next time i will string it a bit higher.

Okay, so I've got 2 rackets here both strung the same with VS850, one racket I've used for 1 game, one racket I've used for 30, and they're both still the same tension as far as I can tell. Even if it has dropped off a pound, I honestly can't tell.

I guess if anyone was worried, string at a pound more than regular, or just use BG80?

ok spent more time with the bs12 today and its a fun racket to play with. it is very quick and took a bit of adjusting to but to me its a good racket to pick up when i get a bit tired. when im well rested, i find it to be too flexible but thats just me. i personally still prefer sth along the stiffness of an at900p or sw35 :P

That's fair enough, won't hold it against you.

no wonder i felt it became softer after several hours...i strung my BS10 with VS600 titanium @24lbs. would like to try VS850 after this.
