I'm looking to buy a new racquet, and narrowed my choices down to Arcsaber 10, Bravesword 10/11 and Armortec 900.

Currently using Nano9000X, but looking for more power. Don't think it's right for me.

Tried Arc10 yesterday, and my smashes were really nice, I could hear the crisp sound, and my smashes were a lot stronger and steeper. Everything else was fine too.

Victor Bravesword 10/11 - Purely because everyone is talking about how good they are, I know BS12 is coming out soon.

    Armortec 900 - Because of it's power.

So which one do you think is right for me?

I'm looking for a more powerful smash while maintaining the control and defense Nano9000X gives me.

    Thanks heaps!

Out of those rackets, the ARC10 in my opinion is better for you. The ARC10 should give you enough power while being good in control and defense. The BS10 is a very good choice but it might be a tad stiff. Its definitely quick and quite good in terms of the power it can produce. The BS11 is similar to the BS10 but less stiff. Do you find the NS9000X too stiff? As for the AT900P, yes you gain power but you also sacrifice defense and perhaps even control.

    Thanks for your reply. :)
I find the NS9000X a bit too stiff. I think it limits my smashing power quite a bit.
I tried the AT900, and yes I did find that I couldn't do precise drops and netshots, while gaining a whole lot more power.
I think I will try the ARC10 and if it still feels good, go with that.

If you got the possibility to test the SW 35, do it. If tend to use a little more flexibile one try the SW36. The BS12 is based on specs not a good powerhorse.

    Thanks for your replies.
    Bought the arc10 :D
Feels great, smashes are better and I still have the qualities of the nano9000.
    Thanks again

    Hi there,

I'm new in this sport but can anyone tell me the different between Arc10 and NS9900?
I would like to have both rackets but can it suits my play style....
FYI, I like to defend and once a while when got the chance to kill with a powerful smash!

    Pls advice.....

    Thanks

If you're new to the sport I along with many others I think would advise not getting either till you're more familiar with the game.

Khai if you have a strong arm/wrist then go for the Nano9900.
Otherwise arc10 would be better since it's less stiff.
Nano9900 would only be effective and powerful if you have the physical requirements to handle it.

But again, if you're new go for a racket that isn't stiff, cos it's easier to hit with and you won't injure yourself.

Hi Khai, I am from M'sia too. My opinion for beginner is no need to buy yonex as your first weapon/training kit. It is too expensive and not worth it. You have to know that in M'sia, Yonex racket's quality is different with those international player wan. So actually you can choose some brand that is cheap and nice. Quality better than Yonex. For example : Apacs or RSL... Both of it is stiff and cheap enough. Actually for me Yonex and Li Ning are just branded item. Many brands of racket can even better than it !
This is just my advice ! You can just no need to give a damn...
    Good Luck !!
