Local badminton promotion event: ideas

Hi all,

We want to raise badminton popularity in our village a bit more by means of a badminton related event. We already organized an afternoon for kids (little badminton games in group) with succes: 10 active players of 18 registered youth. But our adults section isn't doing well these days: only 5 active players of 18 registered adults. That's why we want to do something for the adults this time, but our inspiration isn't that big...

We can rent a whole gym for a day. I was thinking about "Australian Badminton": drinking beer and eating saussages between playing badminton... But maybe you have better ideas, or something to add to my idea.

Isn't it the habit to eat saussages and drink bear while playing sports in Australia? Or maybe you only do this while playing outdoors.

Anyone got better ideas? I'm desperate...
