Got this from an 'old-man' of badminton. He told me is a nutshell success in badminton depends on the 3 E's. 1st. Excel To become a good player. 2nd. Exceed To surpass your opponents level and ability 3rd. Expose To destroy your opponent by surfacing their hidden insecurities
The key to badminton MDT 1. Motivation 2. Drive 3. Tactics It just doesn't sound as good as the 3Es does it?
And there I was, thinking: Ecstasy Epinephrine Enemas <-- Smiley face to indicate my actual "drugs are bad, mmmkay" attitude as a responsible role-model to children and vulnerable adults.
I prefer ELM (more responsible coaching): - Effort: always give 100% - Learn: the process of getting to the top is worth more than the outcome - Mistakes: they are ok, if we can learn from them
The 3E's are not about coaching. It's what a player himself must attain himself to reach 'That Level'. It is an on going process, a life long playing journey. Far beyond the realm of tutorship.
haha. urmeatballs hanging out too regarding your item#2. playing beyond your own abilities.... don't worry about injuries... I will someday create a separate thread to discuss that. It will be titled.... ' The Olympian'
