I know we have the Market Place where everyone who wishes to sell a racquet posts their threads but would it be feasible to have a "Wanted/Looking To Buy" thread?

I don' t want to post a thread that says what I want to buy cause all I'm going to get is "do a search"

This would make it easier for buyers & sellers to contact each other.
Plus, some people who may want to sell their racquets, might not want to post publicly.

This could have been brought up before in the past but alas, I didn't do my "search"

and a want to sell!! :D
and also... i think the thread starter should be able to delete their own threads... and are responsible for deleting those that are sold or bought... etc etc

    then perhaps you should? :)

also, despite people telling you. there is still a value in posting a WTB thread. some people may have something they can sell and have not bothered to post a for sale thread.

either way, it should be in the marketplace forum.

sounds like it would be difficult to implement.. since that would involve deleting or renaming privelages... saying "SOLD" works fairly well

courtesy by the seller to put "sold" at the end of the post

Or even let Kwun know to delete the thread

i think keeping the old threads around is useful for others wanting to know how much a racquet usually goes for. Some threads also contain "mini reviews" that are nice too.

Hmmmmmmmm, I don't think setting members to delete their own threads is really safe in market place. If someone setup a fake ad, got the money deleted the thread, what proof would you have that there was even a deal that took place?
