I am 15years old turning 16 in 4months about 5ft 7inches Played badminton for 7months. Coaches at my school tell me I have a good highclear. I want to improve on my smashes and I have a decent wrist strength. I am an all round player and one of the coaches told me I should get a mid flex racket. So is arcsaber 5 the right racket for me? Please help me badminton experts and masters
I prefer even balanced although I have a wilson ncode w3 which is a head light racket. I am sorry sir but I don't know what racket smile is? Could you please explain it to me. Thank you for trying to help me
what I mean smile is your name Smilemgjung the problem with head light racket is actually it is hard to generate power to smash however too head heavy would hinder your defensive movement I cannot find wilson ncode w3.. (what I found is tennis racket) is it wilson ncode n3?
No it is w3 I had the same problem there is no information about it, but the frame weight is 75~78g and I don't know the flex. It is not a counterfeit because I bought it from my coach when I was in Korea. I still need to work on my smashes and I feel that it is hard to hit a solid smash. I heard that arcsaber 5 is even balanced and good for smashes. I am still woried whether it would be a good racket for me
both is a little bit different arcsaber 5 is more head light than arcsaber 5DX you might want more head heavier racket (5DX) to improve your smash?
Yes so do you think that arcsaber 5dx is the right racket for me according to my height and my skills?
Actually, the Arcsaber 5DX is probably going to replace the Arcsaber 5. The balance of both rackets is head-heavy and the rackets both have a medium flex. I would advice you to buy the Arcsaber 5DX instead of the Arcsaber 5 if you want an Arcsaber 5. The DX of the Arcsaber 5DX stands for 'Dynamic Extreme', which means that the racket can handle a higher maximum tension. This might not be very interesting now, but might make things a little more clear. Other than the Dynamic Extreme of the Arcsaber 5DX they're both head-heavy! If you want an even-balanced racket, you might want to consider an Arcsaber 7, which is more head-heavy compared to the head-light racket you're playing now. If you really want a head-heavy racket, the Arcsaber 5DX might be a good choice. In the end it's all up to personal preference.
to compare, we have professional that review both racket, arcsaber 5 and arcsaber 5DX see which one you like arcsaber 5: http://badminton-coach.co.uk/575/yonex-arcsaber-5-badminton-racquet-review/ arcsaber 5 DX: http://badminton-coach.co.uk/category/badminton-equipment/yonex-arcsaber/
just forget the Arc 5.. let your coach try your wilson, racket.. if he can smash hard with it.. keep it..and work on your technique.. and wait with a new racket until next christmas, or if your wilson breaks don on you And then when you get better you can invest in something with more power than Arc-5 /Twobeer
I should probably ask my coach to do that, but coaches have way better mechanic and power than me so I need to borrow some power from the racket. Thank you very much for the great idea
