Interesting how this thread has morphed into an Eom Hye Won thread, still seeing some action 2.5 years after the titular pair was disbanded. Kim is already 3 partners ago and soon to be more. Eom was off WD for most of the year and has only played it twice since the Swiss Open but will be back next month playing with Shin Seung Chan in Denmark.

    Hi Event,
Talking about Eom Hye Won. Is she still in the National Team? have not seen her for quite sometime.

True, she doesn't seem to be getting sent with the A team. She was in India and Singapore and the Asian Championships but she hasn't gone overseas since then. She and Yoo Yeon Seong are playing mixed in Taipei next week, though, and yes, she is still on the national team.

I don't think there is a player who is more unpredictable than Eom Hye Won. Not crazy unpredictable but in terms of badminton shots.

It's good to have her back in the game. It's so much fun to watch something different, to guess how EHW is going to play her next shot.

I'm so impressed by the qualities of Eom Hye Won! As Gill Clark put it beautifully last China Open; "she is such an understated player." Couldn't agree more with that observation. The skills and touch of Eom Hye Won are superb.

Given her audacious plays, I wouldn't call her "understated". Since she looks like a frail old lady who can hardly keep her back straight, she may be overlooked at the first glance. That is, until she starts to move ......

Eom HW is, for me, one of the stronest women in XD, far better than Kim, who I find too passive. Eom and Yoo are going to be devastating - I'm expecting an All England semi-final, at least.
