Thread: Yonex Voltric 80 ( VT80 )

From another photo on the same site, you can discern that there is a faint Asics logo on Mogensen's shoe...not sure how Yonex allowed it to happen :P
Anyway, the VT80 seems cool and all, but I hope it isn't so heavy as to have deviated from the initial design principle of "power and fast handling in one package"; I certainly hope that it'll handle faster than its balance suggests.

Camel of course follows the japanese market pricing, where the Voltrics are indeed relatively cheap. The international positioning is "slighty" different .

i bought my VT70 from Windsor in JP and it is not any cheaper than the high end YY racket such as AT900 or Arc10...

Got a mail from a badminton seller this morning, with the VT80
- frame: Isometric, High Modulus Carbon, Sound Filter, Tungsten
- shaft: High Modulus Carbon, Ultra PEF
length: 674 mm
grip size : 3u - G4
Price is quite the same as AT900P or Z-Slash (179€)

Now that I see the VT80 up close, it's actually quite a looker - that "tribal" relief design is a really interesting innovation. The VT80 puts me in mind of the 900T (but its anabolic charateristics would suggest otherwise).
^^Is Mogensen using a VT70 now? Ye gods! How does anybody go from an NS9900 to that thing?!
"Are you having a laugh? It's like playing with a baseball bat!"

"... well... let me have a knock with it..."

Yonex can easily paint an "old" racquet like a new one, that makes both the player and the marketing department happy

So, will you guys say that the VT 80 would be somewhat similar to the armortec 700?

Can someone please explain what the vertical and horizontal axis are in English?
The racquet looks great, hope it will be even better than VT70.
