BG80P is overpriced and not as powerful compared to what you can do with the BG80

Only problem I don't want to go over 25lbs using my Z-Slash but if I get a VT80 or ARC8DX I'll be happy to string 27lbs+

Hello there, i'm new to the forum. You have been using both the VT80 LTD and the normal VT80, and i have heard that the LTD is a lot head-heavier than the normal. Based on your experience; - How much heavier? - Does it take much more effort to play with it well?- Are all your VT80s 3UG5?Never tried the normal VT80 before, currently using the LTD one @ 30lbs BG66UM, and considering to get the normal one as a spare.

All my VT80s are 3UG5. And they are very similar net weight (96-97g). The LTD does not feel heavier than the regular VT80. It's just a different paint job. These other people may have gotten VT80s with different dry weights. Hope that helps.

@ CanucksD: Did you play with ~ 24 lbs? How do you compare 24 vs. 27 lbs in VT 80?

I used to play with 25lbs. I found the smash was there but not so much in accuracy. I went to 27lbs and found that while the sweet spot was a bit smaller, my accuracy improved. So it's a give and take. At 27lbs I did have some temporary elbow pain but that's gone now since I gotten used to the higher tension.

Yesterday, I compared a 4U-G4 VT80 to a 4U-G4 VT80LTD, both with NBG98 at 25 LBS. I felt the VT80LTD was a little softer and had less vibrations. Other than this, there was no difference between these two in playing capabilities.

A little softer? do you mean more forgiving?

Is the normal VT80 the JP version, and the VT80 LTD the SP?

I just purchased the FAKE VT-80 from eBay for $30 USD and received it just now..

The physical appearance is 100% identical after comparing in the stores.

The stickers, the butt end green cap and all the font sizes/styles are right on.

The Voltric bag seems to be the same texture as the genuine bag. Also the quality of the printing seems to be high quality, and not more of those jagged edges and wrong spacing.

The racquet even has a FAKE Yonex authenticity card written in Chinese LMAO.....

Even the -SP cone code seems to be legit stating the racquet was produced in 2011....

I can't believe how the clone market is catching up fast now.
The clones looks like the real deal.

Yonex should update their website for how to distinguish fake and genuine Yonex racquets because the article seems to be outdated.

Aside from that, the fake VT-80 seems to be less head heavy than the genuine.

Also the fake VT-80 seems to be just as stiff both shaft-wise and racquet-wise (with the frame strung at 25lbs BG-80)

Not bad I have to say, for $30.

May I ask what your point is to buy a fake in the first place. Do you think it will perform better than a racket painted differently that sells for $30 ??

I bought it just for curiosity's sake.

I have never purchased a fake, and was curious.

I will not be using the fake for actual tournaments, just for training...

It's not a extremely bad carbon graphite racquet since it was only $30 lol..

I don't have to worry too much about frame deformation, clashes, or paint chips.... I will use it for what it's worth.
