Huh? I said, I don't see anything such as VT80 released to the public. From the YONEX website, there's only VT70. I didn't say that YONEX will only make VT70.

    Duh.

Yeah, I see the VT-80 on the shutt-house website too, but nothing about it in the Japanese Yonex website. It's probably a teaser, but I'm anxious to see it. I really like the feel and play of the VT-70, so hopefully the VT-80 will build on it.

That's because the racket is not officially released yet. A few of us such myself knew about the VT80 a while ago from sources (ie. Yonex rep). There are also product picture leaks too on the web too if you know where to look.

additionally, there was a press release in the US about the new material, "Nanopreme". I am sure there are a few links on the forum.

Some information in the other forums state that the following:

    1. Ultra slim shaft; remember the Z Slash had a 6.9mm shaft? Information points that the VT80 will have an even slimmer shaft, but still remaining extra stiff, due to the Nanopreme material.

    2. Comes in 4U and 3U, this time 3U being the "main" weight (VT70's main weight was 4U thus having 4UG4 as the main specification available).

    3. Comes with warranty tension of 26lbs for 4U and 27lbs for 3U; hooray for us high tension fanatics :D

    4. ALL RUMOURS regarding VOLTRIC 9DX(??!!) have been proven to be erroneous and totally misleading.

Last but not least, possible sample pictures...

    Hoorah!

xtra stiff, slimmer shaft... Gosen Ryoga Tenbu use M40 Ø0.67 xtra stiff shaft. I don't think it will be slimmer than this...

I'm looking forward to the Yonex offerings in 2011. I like the increased tension for warranty as seen on the ARC8DX.
