Run a search and you'll find plenty of fake racquet threads and they'll tell you why it is fake. Anyways, fakes usually have bad paint jobs (Messed up logos, not properly aligned etc). Their paint job is usually horrible. Most of them don't have the region code on them:

Those are the main ways to spot them. And the price! It's very unlikely you'll find a fake Yonex from North America but if you want to be certain, find a ceritifed Yonex dealer.

Oh no..no..no, all fake Yonex racquets have the word "Yonex" written on them with that funny logo on the throat...:D :D :D

I think that you will be hard pressed to find any fakes available for sale in the N. American market. The chances of fakes are higher in places like the Philippines & Thailand.

First thing is that if the price is too good to be true, then it is probably a fake.

I thought that meant it was distributed from singapore to the reast of south/east asia. In that sense, he would be correct.

Real: serial number cut by laser. Others are etched, pressed or painted on.

Well the first things you'd look at is price but that doesn't mean you don't look at availability on the website and such :) I'm sure you've all done research on racquets before you bought it so it can't be that hard.

Buy from reputable stores / personnel. Even though, the price won't be too attractive, but u don't have to keep worrying about getting a piece or rock instead of gem. Also, reputable stores have good services such as re-string, with good discount price.

Don't think u r lucky today, if u seems "saving" 75% on a Yonex racket, unless it's ur friend doing u a big big favor / trouble (eagerly need $$$ on some new games, and selling his brother/sister's brand new racket... :D )

true, but after looking at some pics of the mp100, i dont think i have seen one that says "SP" right beside "MusclePower 100"...

is it possible for a fake to play almost the same as the real one?
