actually, they DONT speperate u by gender. if you're really good and your a girl, you play with the guys or maybe even sometimes the assistant coaches. but when they do seperate u by gender, there's a reason. mostly because the people are within your level of play. and plus, you make a lotta friends! see, there's four girls that are within the same age group as me in my group lesson, we're usually put together because we're at the same level and we're friends. but we sometimes play witht eh guys also and it's pretty fun....well, at least in my class.

and Nanashi's right. There is a HUGE difference between team A and the lv 5 class. the level 5 class is basically people who WOULD have made the team but are too old...

    Thanks for the info Jus_anothr_grl.

Hopefully I can get a ride to Lee's every week in the summer. Problem is convincing my parents to drive me. Hey, anyone live east of Toronto that I can piggy-back a ride with?

Ya, me too, but hopefully SARS will be gone when summer arrives because I can get out of Canada for a while and go back to Hong Kong to hopefully get some training. It's not cheap to go back, but seeing that the airplane ticket's price is probably dropping I might be able to fit some more training then usual. If they do ban the air flights coming in and going out from Hong Kong, then I guess I'm going to find some training in Toronto and hopefully find a place to stay there like my Uncle's house.

Where I live, there is NO formal coaching whatsoever. During the season, I can do drills and stuff, but my club closes for the summer. And I really want to get better for next season.

Also, if me and someone else go, it'll be worth it instead of just me going.

Do you know when I should contact them and register for lessons if I want to get a spot for the next session? (They do have a session during the summer, right?)

    Thanks,
    Phil

Well, I figure the summer session will start sometime soon after the last spring one on their schedule on the website which is about the end of June.

If I can get a ride, I am definately going.

    Exclamation

    About lee's seperating by gender
they most definitely do NOT do that

it is true, that the FIRST class they did that, but only for front and back
girls on one side, guys on the other side, evening out the people on the courts, but that was just for f/b, I haven't exp any other gender sep

otherwise yes, they seperate the more 'advance' people
even if its not on purpose, you notice the coach can tell who belongs in which group if they do split
