Hey guys, what happened to badminton skirts nowadays? :D How come the women players don't wear them much anymore in the big tournaments nowadays compare to a few years ago? I find them more attractive in it :p hehehehe.

The answer is: Shorts are more practical

    .
I have asked many women players before; They answered that shorts are more practical.

Even when they wear skirts, they still wear shorts (under their skirts). ;););)

another reason, i have asked Wang Yihan before, she said she feels troublesome to wash skirt because it has two layers (shorts under her skirt and also the skirt at the surface). :D Time consuming to wash skirt, haha

Well i think it's players' preference mostly, skorts for looking good and shorts for practicality. We have a good balance of skorts and shorts players now. Can't ask for 100% skorts, can we?

Good to know Wang Yihan and perhaps most badminton players hand washes their own clothes.. :D

Yonex had pretty nice looking skorts. Victor/LiNing not as much.

I think that's because most Chinese female players walk like they're 70 yrs old...

And they look uniformly good too :)

The Japanese ladies always have nice outfits supplied by Yonex, whether they be dresses or top/skorts coordinates. And I think they're used to playing in them so they don't give it a second thought.

I also read an article about a few years ago, LD just won a very late SF match, and he was so tired that he went to sleep right after they arrived the hotel room, and did not wash his clothes, but his roommate, BCL, was so nice that he washed his clothes for him so he can wear in the final the next day.

I was so surprised that Chinese Badminton team doesn't have any team manager to do the laundry for the players.

    .
Yes, it's a surprise that the Chinese Badminton team doesn't have any team manager to do the laundry for the players.

But then again, CHN players are regarded as soldiers for CBA. And all soldiers wash their own clothes. ;););)

it is a type of discipline. if other people do everything for you, then you will start to become lazy. and in this case, it also build comrade between players.

Ask them to wear skorts back, if not i dun watch :D hehehehe lol. Very boring la watch these players in their weird long PJ shorts, it kinda look ugly :(, like wanna go pasar malam like that. Skorts look more professional and nicer :D.

Skorts also is practical what, Because the skirt is just a layer outside, and usually it has a split at the side for movements. Skorts = Look Good + Practical :p.

She pretty, must wear skorts, not shorts, tell her that lol.

Must ask for 100% skorts! Like tennis, 100% all of them wear skirts/skorts, it'll be very weird to see a female professional tennis player to be wearing shorts during a game, they only wear it during practice.
