國際青少羽球賽
菲蒙舉行預選賽

為期3天的國際青少年羽毛球錦標賽美國預選賽（Junior International Trials簡稱JIT）將於總統日長周末在東灣菲蒙市舉行，來自全美各地的青少年選手角逐泛美和世界青少 年羽球競標賽的入場券。

每年2月總統日周末舉行的國際青少年羽毛球錦標賽預選賽和7月份舉行的全美青少年錦標賽，為全美兩大青少年 羽球盛事。今年是國際青少年羽毛球錦標賽預選賽 繼2009年在中半島舉行之後，第二次在灣區舉行，由去年8月新張的加州羽毛球館（Calif ornia Badminton Academy）負責承辦。

該球館的創辦人、曾擔任中國國家女子羽毛球隊隊長的雷蓉蓉說，很榮幸能夠獲得美國羽毛球協會挑中承辦比賽， 球館將盡最大的努力做到最好。

今年有200名青少年報名參賽，人數為歷屆最高，其中有74%的選手來自灣區，約有80%為亞 裔。

預選賽邀請到國際裁判Charlotte Ackerman擔任裁判長，按5個年齡組分組舉行，選手將經過循環賽和淘汰賽，爭奪各組別的單雙混獎項， 優勝者還可代表美國參加7月份在泛美青少年羽毛球錦標賽和10月份在台北舉行的世界青少年羽毛 球錦標賽。

比賽將於2月19日上午到2月21日全天舉行，每天上午8時半開場，周六和周日均於晚10點半結束，有興趣 的民眾可前往免費觀摩。地點是 California Badminton Academy, 46049 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539。

For those who don't read Chinese, here's a quick summary:

Junior International Trials (JIT) will be held on 2/19 to 2/21, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. This tournament qualifies juniors according to their age group to compete in upcoming PanAm international tournament. Both JIT and Junior National are major annual events. There are 200+ juniors in this year's event.

You may watch the tournaments if interested. Admission is free.

8:00pm – 8:30 pm Player/parent meeting
8:30pm – 9:00 pm Coach Meeting
Saturday, February 19
8:30am – 11:00pm Registration, Tournament Play
Sunday, February 20
8:30am – 11:00pm Tournament Play
Monday, February 21
8:30am – 5:00pm Tournament Play

Players who have an 8.30 am match should be at the gym by 8 am , and all others should be at the gym 45 minutes minimum before their first match
