Here's M/Q Report version 1 (07th February 2011) taken from BWF website -- http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file_download.aspx?id=29732
There is a mistake done by BWF for Nova/Vita..they should be in Maindraw in German GP as well as AE.,,anyway...already communicated with BWF
Yeah, must be an error. Nova/Vita also grouped in main draw of last month MAS SS & KOR SS Premier as well.
lol it is so obvious who they want to select to be 2nd pair in og lol --------------------- for lee yong dae, wow!kim hana! hehe
That's good news! I hope especially MHC/TWK can redeem themselves in AE... but must check draw first.. But it seems that Fairuz/OSH and Zakry/HTH have a lot of attention on them compared to MHC/TWK and CPS/LKW or GWS/TKS/... and also the Malaysia Open's 'mistake' follows up with limsy's post...
No. As far as I know, If a pair have WR then their WR is used or Notional Points (NP). But if they don't have WR or may be just been paired, their notional points is used. In this case, Nova/Vita have WR points since they already played in two tourneys. Because they just played in only 2 (under 10) their NP is used this moment. CMIIW...........
I think so. In Malaysia and Korea, notional points use from WR point with previous pair (I do not know detail). Take some score from Nova/Liliyana and Gunawan/Marissa. But, now notion points are taken from their previous two tournaments. Nova/Vita did not obtain good result. The case is also applied for Shu Chen / Ma Jin in AE. Even they reached SF and QF, they need to start from Qualifying round. No other INA player beside Alvent/Hendra here. I wonder why there are two ENG/SCO XD pair here. Why they do not from ENG pair and SCO pair. Just wondering. Seems many players concentrate more to AE. But, the entry list is still in huge number
It is quite normal for this happen as it already did before. For Robert Blair/Gabrielle White, Robert Blair was a former English player from Scotland but this year he had a dispute with the coaching staff of English team and therefore he got back to Scotland but still pairing with his current partner Gabby.
SCO/ENG, ENG/SCO, ENG/ENG or SCO/SCO for Olympic qualifying only GB (or UK) counts . Maybe it's about time all these separate federations came to an end
2 tourneys at a time. It's either German & AE or AE & Swiss, if you see how the coaches arrange. Go all the way to Europe, just to participate in one, wasting $$$. So happen, AE is in between.
I am glad that LCW skips German GP and focus on defending his All England title. http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/37HJSDFHJSDF/Article Chong Wei to give German Open a miss LEE Chong Wei has opted to withdraw from the German Open to focus on the defence of his All England title on March 8-13. National singles coach Rashid Sidek said securing the All England is the main objective of Chong Wei and felt that competing in back-to-back tournaments will make it tougher for the World No 1 to achieve his goal in Birmingham. The German Open is normally used as a warm-up event held a week before the All England and has attracted Chong Wei's arch rival Lin Dan while world champion Chen Jin will also be playing in the grand prix gold event. Chong Wei's attempt at winning back-to-back titles in the Malaysia Open and Korea Open was halted by Lin Dan as the Olympic champion secured the Premier Super Series crown in Seoul to grab badminton's biggest pay cheque of US$90,000 (RM275,000) last month. "Chong Wei's aim is to defend the All England title and it is becoming increasingly difficult to win back-to-back titles. This is the reason he has withdrawn from the German Open," said Rashid. "He has already done well by winning two titles last month and his No 1 status is secure. "As such, it is better to focus his attention on the All England where Lin Dan will also be competing. "The All England has attracted almost all the top 30 players and matches will be close from the opening round. "Although the German Open serves as warm-up, Chong Wei will give it a miss as it will be physically too taxing to maintain his momentum in the All England the following week. "He needs to be fresh in Birmingham as Lin Dan will be going all out for a fifth title. So, Chong Wei wants to stay back and prepare for the event."
What!? LCW is going to withdraw!? This is bad for the organizers and the hype for German fans... If you want to withdraw, don't submit your name la...
