It seems there is a new trend of fake racket especially Nano Speed 9900 and Arcsaber 10, Armortech 900 P with shaft serial 7XXXXXX and production 2009-2010 (cone code: DDMM9X / DDMM0X) 7 out of 10 are Nanospeed 9900 so be careful about it So I would like to give warnings: - DO NOT buy a rackets from E-bay especially when they state they are from China (Beijing, Hongkong, Shanghai, etc) - DO NOT buy JP rackets unless you know that they are Yonex authorised dealer (6 out of 10 fakes that I found are JP codes) - DO NOT buy IF the price too good to be true yeah, Nanospeed 9900 for US $50? When you buy it, your dream to get cheap NS9900 will fly along with your money I saw many people ask about DHgate.com, and said, what about they are straight from factory? it is a bargain US $18 per Arcsaber Z-slash. NO it is NOT, they are FAKE. DO NOT buy from them This DOES NOT means high price will guarantee that the racket is genuine IF you cannot afford Yonex racket, it is better to buy another racket from different brand. - If you wants to buy it, from anyone, your friend, you coach, and especially E-bay (yes, I read a coach scam their student with fake Yonex rackets) Try to CONFIRM it first before you buy it: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...ay-s-or-online-auction)?p=1622509#post1622509 or if it is from E-bay: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...655-eBay-Auction-Watch-amp-Shopping-Enquiries so there you go, another thread about how to avoid Yonex fake rackets
few addition: - Regarding Grade A / B / C racket: No they are still FAKE even if the buyer said it close to real, DO NOT buy it they just want to give you false feeling of security it is FAKE so DO NOT let yourself in a risk if you already know it is fake - Again about "What happen if I cannot afford Yonex racket but still want one?" go for another brand such as Victor, Wilson, Panda Power, Carlton, Head, Apacs, etc Yonex charge a pretty high price for their product. mid range Yonex racket might be as expensive as high end from another brand
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION: In this thread, I am only talking about Yonex rackets Made in JAPAN If you want to know about Yonex rackets made in Taiwan or China, this thread is not suitable for you ============================= Regarding my original post about fake Yonex racket with shaft serial 7XXXXXX and 2010 / 2009 You need to know there are two kind of number in Yonex rackets Shaft serial is one of a kind serial number for each yonex racket that made in Japan (Yonex made in Taiwan has different way to number their racket) That serial number shows you this is racket number XXX that yonex produce Cone code is the date when they make the racket (and for which area this racket for): It is based on DDMMYX(and 2 letter code area) D: day M: month Y: year For example: ======= To answer why 7XXXXXX production 2009 / 2010 is fake: Some examples: Too cheap, even for second hand Serial number is too low **See? expensive doesn't mean genuine DO NOT trust anyone It's even lower than 7.. it's 6! From E-bay (!!!) Another fake JP, from China JP code is japan distribution code, so why a shop in Shanghai has JP racket? I know people will say they import it, but there are only few shops that do this So, be careful and always stay alert Further readings: Ebay buying: Time to learn in the hard way Guide: How to Spot Counterfeit Yonex Rackets
arcsaber zslash ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex arcsaber z-slash shaft serial: 7625649 cone code : 010602JP source : sport shop berlin price : Euro € 64 ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- Hello, I wanted to know if the arcsaber z slash i bought is original or fake. From your other source link it seems to be that i bought fake racket beacuse of low shaft serial number 7 w.r.t cone code 0(for 2010) Do please confirm this Regards
Sorry for being in wrong thread Infact i came to this thread from another thread in same forum and i posted in this thread. About selling imported rackets you are right i didnt notice this thing untill i came home and checked on internet. From finishing and other things (like engraved code) racket can't be identified as fake racket. For this reason i provided my racket's data. Regards
it should be 9XXXXXX (around 99XXXXX) and around late feb 2011 they reach 9999999 and go back to 2XXXXXX
Guys. Anyone can tell me which shop is reliable as in selling good original rackets in Kuala Lumpur. Based on what I'm reading so far, Yonex is a big gamble, so I stick to other brands like Apacs or Protech? Any advice... obviously the Taiwan version of Yonex is out of the question now.. I bought one but it seems good to me in terms of playability. Need some info here.. guys please advice.
most likely not because the start with 23XXXXX so 24XXXXX looks good, but to make sure ask the other thread about your racket if you don't believe local seller, then online could be the solution http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/ or http://www.sohubuy.com/ or RKEP eric on ebay are legit seller
Hi all, i went to some badminton shop lately (Aj puchong, and elin collection pandan indah) and i found out that most of the yonex racket had its hologram sticker on the cone code ~ it is trust-able to buy racket from them as the price is quite reasonable for voltric 80 ~ around RM550-560
i believe aj and elin have good reputation since both are listed here and for the hologram sticker on cone code is a sunrise stiker... but imitation also have that.. AFIK aj & elin didn't sell fake .
Found a new type of fake and this one is really close to the genuine one (!!) it is dangerously close to the genuine one but this number lower by a lot noticed something? it has same cone code! this one is more dangerously close to the genuine one than previous one, only few thousand off same as above dangerously close to the real one ==== List of well know fake seller: on ebay: Big.show44: http://myworld.ebay.com/big.show414/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 this guy also have website called: http://www.badminton365.com/ cysltcy: http://myworld.ebay.ca/cysltcy/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 why? they sell FAKE racket at PREMIUM price not only Yonex racket, they sell li-ning, etc the big.show414 aka badminton365 also sell clothing, shoes etc all of the are FAKE ==== on internet: find cheap price for Yonex racket? best to avoid it alibaba.com aliexpress dhgate badminton365.com why? definitely fake sellers, proven so many times ==== also try to avoid: ebay lelong.com.my mudah.my sulit.com.ph why? so many fake sellers that it is hard to distinguish the real one ===== best to avoid: kijiji.ca gumtree.com craiglist why? because serious seller usually go for specific badminton forum like this to fine the buyer there are some legit second hand seller, but you will also find some fake seller as well
The new fakes really are getting better and better. I've always known that the serial number check is not going to be dependable. Once they have cottoned on to the system it's not difficult to fake. I saw an arc8dx that is pretty much indistinguishable from the real one even when laid side by side. It seems the idea for them now is not to sell them at a fraction of the RRP price, but to sell them for almost the same price as the real thing! It's sad that they are getting away with it, Yonex just needs to up their game in terms of coming up with a better way(s) of identifying a real one.
