Badminton Etiquette after a match

Thats not the question. Take a view, these guys dedicate their lives to win and it's exciting to share their passion.

To me, that IS the question. It is our current Badminton Etiquette after a match.

I know that our custom/culture/etiquette could change in future. And if what you think is the better thing for the winner(s) to do (to celebrate with his/her coach first), then in future we would expect a change of attitude from the loser(s), that is; as soon as the match is over, they will quickly get their bags and disappear.

In yesterday's Korean Open WD semis, the home pair of Kim and Ha took down the CHN legends YY/WXL. The crowd was into it, getting the players pumped up. When YY smashed into the net giving the match to the Koreans, the first thing they did was go to their coaches to share their joy. That's right, share their joy. How often does anyone beat YY/WXL? This was an appropriate reaction, so let it be. It was in the moment, the crowd was still buzzing and it felt right.

The BWF officials quickly stepped in, ushering the players to do handshakes. Killjoys!
