went to visit the Victor US distributor, aka Racket Supply, the past weekend and borrowed a few demo Victor rackets to test... they include: Superwave 35 Superwave 36 Bravesword 08 Bravesword 09 Artery Tec 98 it will be a fun week to test out all these rackets. will post pics and updates as i get more court time with them.
You should really enjoy SW35 and BS09, the SW36 isn't that great of a racquet, no real power that the 35 had. I've never played with the 08 but I've heard and read that it's rather flexy haha Looking forward to the reviews though!
how is the stiffness of SW35 compared to ATT98? i have the ATT99 and was wondering if SW35 is similar or even stiffer. considering to get 1. SW should swing faster than the ATT, yes?
Are the new Rackets not available in the USA? I'm thinking especially about SP21, SP22. It's a pity. The BS10 is one of the best Victor rackets in my opinion. @ ziggy 87: The ATT98 is medium flex. The SW35 is similar to the ATT99 in terms of stiffness.
SP21 has been available for a while now. SP22 i am not sure. SP21 is a unique racket. it takes time to get used to. the new round of new ones, X80 etc will be shipped out end of March and available in April as i was told by Lei the owner. i wanted to test out the BS10 and BS11 as well but the demos were out.
SW35 is stiff and head heavy. compared to all the other ones, it swings slower, at least from dry swings at home. i will have more accurate comparison when i get to try them tonight.
you will really enjoy the SW35.... I predict that the Arc10 might be staying at home more often once you have tried the SW35. Out of interest is the SW35 you have 3U or 4U ? You should also like BS09 I haven't tried BS08 or or the 98. SW36 isn't as good as the SW35.
i am hoping that one of those rackets will unseat my ARC10. we will see. the SW35 is a bit head heavier than my ARC10, but that's also with a thinner grip. i will add one more grip and see how that turns out.
So it's 3U then ? Actually, I have a friends Arc10 with me just now, as well as my SW35 both unstrung. The SW35 is heavier in the hand, stiffer, and head heavier (slightly) than the Arc10. the Sw35 is more solid and powerful. although I haven't had extensive use of the Arc10, Defence is similar, Arc10 is slightly better (understandably)
Kwun the Superwave 35 demo from racket supply is 4U. same with the 36 and BS 09. i forgot if the BS 08 and AT 98 ti was 3U or 4U
wow. feels very solid and heavy for a 4U racket. i like it a lot! so far, the rating is: SW35 > BS09 > BS08 > SW36 haven't had much time with the AT98 yet
Almost everyone I know seems to rate the SW35 and the BS10 very highly, but there are newer rackets out from Victor now. Will Victor keep making them? I hope so, Yonex have continued making the Ti10 even though it first came out 14 years ago, and it's still a great seller for them.
Glad that you like it what strings and tension are you using with it ? SW35 & SW36 are worlds apart IMO. The SW36 should be more even balanced, flexy and lighter. It's also not as solid as the SW35 I don't think they will discontinue the SW and BS yet, at least for a few more years. These are the best rackets in the Victor range at the moment.
The german (european) Victor cataloque don't have the SW35 and the BS10 in their range. Maybe they are discontinued for europe. SW series are only the SW36 and SW32 listed. BS series only BS09, BS 11 and BS 12. I'm thinking of buying a SW35 and BS10 as spare but I'm confused. Maybe the MX80 works better.
Don't do this to me Victor !!!!! I am confused as well, I thought the SW32 was gone a while ago. Thats it I am going to get another SW35 this week. I am not going to risk them going out of stock.
