hi all as you all know...I LOVE BADMINTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i always dreamt of having a golden sweep like lin dan had and winning tons of SS titles like chong wei....but is it possible for this dream to come true?
yea yea yea... you freak... just show your kungfu fighting kick and you are done man. All your opponents will run away... lol.
hehe make sure to see astro super sports in 5 years time! i will be on the tv fighting wit top players! i always say that to my friend and it's a promise now!
stop daydreaming and go find yourself a coach. if you are already a teenager and still a beginner than you have a LONG way to go. daydreaming will get you nowhere.
Training with a squash racket . OMG... Training with a squash racket (hope it's not too heavy). Make sure you don't over do it, otherwise you will get wrist problem (just like you have finger problem before - with rough grip). .
It's possible. It's also very, very unlikely. Exactly how unlikely depends on your current age and ability. To be honest, with your current attitude you have no chance at all. The world class players got there through talent, incredibly hard work, a strong mental attitude, and conducive circumstances (e.g. access to good coaching from an early age). They didn't get there by daydreaming about being a star. External motivation (medals, money, praise, respect, fame...) is all well and good, but it's not enough. If you only have this kind of motivation, you'll crumble as soon as you hit a tough patch. You also need strong internal motivation to succeed (setting & achieving your own goals, enjoying the process of improvement through training, etc.).
wow...quite a reality check....my mentality is fine untill i hit a rock wall during training i do m best but i tire very fast = decline in training performance and i been doing house drills for about 1months now ..and i think with my mentality and support from all my friends and family (hipefully you all too xD ) i can achieve my ambition! still i just knew this sport 8 minths ago and i starting to beat my friend that have a 4years experience and a ex state player ( 11-21 i llost ) but this score is so much better compared to 4minths ago i would literally be 3-21 or less since i got the 11-21 it really motivated me! and they keep say my smash and net improved so much and all that had turned into my motivation!!!
Your mentality should never be something like, "be the best that ever was." The best goal for yourself is to simply improve. You'll see yourself improve, and go, "wow I'm getting better, and it's getting easier and more fun to play." Then you'll just love the game more. There's being optimistic and being realistic. None of us in this forum will ever be world number one. And there's a reason the professionals are hardly ever seen on forums. They are too busy training. But if your goal is to just improve, maybe you'll get to a point where you're the best in your division, or even win a medal somewhere. And not to mention have fun playing and improving your badminton along the way.
Our ambitious malaysianfreak . Hahaha...... Let's hope that when malaysianfreak is not at BadmintonCentral, he is on court training to improve. .
Not too forget you are not the first to daydream over here and this question has passed by more than once and answered, including many of the points made in the article and comments ...
mann...i guess being the best is impossible after all...i guess i just have to aim to be a state player...=(
I guess being the best is impossible after all . To become a state player, you still have to be one of the best players in your state. Hope that you can make it. .
lcw was a timid boy. so, you are more extrovert. You got a chance if you focus and go all the way to be the selayang slayer.
