Hi all, ive been studying the muscles and thought I would work out the muscles being used in a smash (shoulder area). Please feel free to correct me if i'm missing a muscle or got the wrong muscle.

We shall assume we are starting the stroke from the preferable side on behind the shuttle position.

The shoulders retract 1st in preperation - Trapezius, rhomboids, at same time as abducting the arm = Deltoid & Pectoralis Major, supraspinatus, teres minor
Main shoulder then starts to move up to shuttle (Protraction, elevation) - Serratus anterior, Trapezius (upper & lower fibres)
extension of the arm towards the shuttle - Triceps
Pectoralis Minor brings the shoulder forward and downwards after the shuttle has been hit

I think that is everything but not sure lol. If any1 can any anything, please feel free :)
