Every where ppl put up notes of only intermediate and advance level only. But how do they know which level they are from. I been to various places to try out ...... so I come up with a system. Firstly classification and then follow by filtering and segregation. We belief that everyone has room for improvement and we do not discriminate others therefore did not state the level of play. In time to come we would see and know who are really among the creme of the crops. Cheers!

Tampines Bus Interchange: Take service 28, 29 & 293 to Tampines Street 41. Only 2 bus-stop - alight & cross the road Blk 418 and walk to the left 150m you see Blk 424 turn left is the side gate & you can also see the football field.
Bus service 38 & 81 also 2 bus-stop but at Tampines Ave 7. After alighting there is a small exercise park on the right you see Blk 424 and Gong Shang Pri Sch. Walk straight till the end of Blk 424 is the side gate. Entrance to ISH.

Hi Michael,

Not sure if you would be interested in the categorisation commonly used by Badminton Club overseas.

I was working overseas for a number of years and the following seem to be common categories. Some of the clubs have the sub-categories whilst others do not.

The general categories are the following.

Category Note
Premier - National level equivalents
A - Equivalent to Advance
B - Equivalent to above Mid to High Intermediate e.g B1/2
C - Equivalent of Low to Mid intermediate e.g C1/2/3
D - High beginner e.g D1/2
E - Brand New player

I previously served as co-Club Captain (helping an old friend in the Balmoral Badminton Club around 1989/90) while working in Auckland, New Zealand.

Thank you so much for your suggestions / recommendations. Indeed this is what I would be looking at in the near future. We just started 4 weeks ago and I briefed the earlier players about a scheme; but just after 1 session most froze out. I think most players were afraid to be categorised.
Therefore I just put it in a comical way of Category A, B & C.

We are looking to bring in more players therefore all levels are welcome. Since your location is also in Tampines; Would you like to join us every Friday from 7-10pm. Who knows maybe you may become our Captain in Singapore. We appreciate and welcome any exchange of ideas.
