These are mid-end SP Power Cushion shoes and the quality can be observed as such. Available in both man's and ladies' version.
So far the feedback have not been favourable for these shoes as the heels are a bit too high and unstable. Some users have suffered from twisted ankles as a result.
I was going to ask for feedback from players. I think it's best looking shoe in current Yonex range. Dissapointed to read about its high heel bit. Not sure if that high heel is in SP version and not in Euro version. Wondering has anyone in Europe tried this shoe?
Do you see the model name? SHB SC3MX which is the international version, there is nothing SP to it other than the location
Then SC5 or any high heel shoes will suffer the same fate. Maybe this type of shoes not for jumping smashers. Note that SC3 men also comes in red/black/silver as per catalogue. http://shuttle-house.com/en/Catalog/YONEX/2011_Badminton/P042.php 1st tot it was tennis shoe. Last saw this model worn by Rexy after the KL Open Q-final MD match which saw KKK/TBH lost to World Jr Champ Chooi Kah Ming/Ow Yao Han.
I am surprised to see more players wearing the SC3 than the higher end SC5. Actually, I have yet to see anyone wearing the SC5 yet. The usual reply is the owners bought them is for their appearance which appeals to them notwithstanding price which is lower than the SC5. If I have to choose between the SC series, I would go for the SC5 because of the better quality and what is incorporated in it. The main important difference is the power cushion in these shoes are the entry-level single layer whereas the SC5 is the high-end triple layer.
Aramis, Beware of the high heels esp SC5. Maybe try not to do jumping smash. So far Mathias Boe & Joachim Fisher of Danish & Jpn gals wear the SC5 in Sudirman Cup recently. So far Yone has clone SC5. The quality like 2nd bro to YY SC5 despite the price is RM60 vs RM300. Still its comfortable to wear like 2nd class upper as compare to SC5: FIRST CLASS Who wear the SC3?
