Anyone who is using this set-up? I'm very curious about getting the WISE, so I was just wondering if anyone was using this set-up.

I did read those, but I was just wondering whether someone with the exact same machine uses it, since even the shuttle expresses seems to vary a bit from brand to brand. I know kwun's one looks very much a like, just wondering whether it is exactly the same.

Anyone drives a Honda civic with a Ferrari engine? Just kidding.

You won't regret it if you buy the Wise Tension Head. My first machine was a drop weight (HIP HOP) and added Wise Head later. Now I am upgrading to Gamma 6004 6pct and guess what, the Wise Head is going onto the Gamma when it arrives.

My uncle once had a Pontiac Fiero with a Ferrari engine in it, until someone liked it more than he did.

With the Wise 2086 Pro being so versitile, it can be mounted on practically anything with some imagination and creative engineering.

there seems to be a few variations on the "shuttle expresses". if you check out the thread, someone has one that he managed to fit a WISE in even though the main bar is a tad short. it did take more work than my machine.

so it is possible. you may want to measure your bar to see how long it is and whether it will fit.

    Hi Dokkie

I'm using the same config. as you mentioned, Pro's Pro Shuttle Express + WISE 2086.

The original main bar is not long enough for mounting the wise and the turnable. I have tailor-made a 60cm long main bar for it.

For a 60cm main bar, I still have to swap the turnable and leg position after adding the diable. :<

how much did the bar cost? did you consider making one that raises the turntable to allow 360 rotation?

Without diablo you won't need extra long bar right?

I ordered the bar from china through taobao.com, it was about RMB 75 = USD 11.5.

"consider making one that raises the turntable to allow 360 rotation?" - yes, but after discuss with my mechanical engineer, I just give up this idea because the price will be much much higher for making a "L" shape bar.

No, the original bar should be ~48cm which just not long enough.

you may also see my photo, even the bar is 60cm, I still need to swap the turntable and the leg position.

that's a good clearance between the turntable and diablo. i have since removed the legs of my machine and mounted on a standup-stand and thus i am able to fit the diablo with the machine moved back. however, the clearance is around 1-2cm shorter than yours and sometimes i feel i can use a little more space while winding the string around the diablo.

yours has the best compromise between clearance and short string distance.

Yes, but just six holes only (4 for legs and 2 for turntable). I drill 3 holes (no need to thread) for the machine in my factory since I only have the hole location after wise arrived.

could you take a picture from behind Wise2086 ?
because if you drill the hole straight, you will get not straight gripper, is a bit aslant.

and to have 360 degree rotation, you can use wider bar on the short-bar instead of using L-shape on the long-bar.

are you order the bar from here : http://store.taobao.com/shop/view_shop.htm?user_number_id=35437857 ?
if yes, AEF is the official distributor of Wise2086 in China ( www.tennishead.com/international.html )

interesting. there is a slight slant, maybe 2-3 degrees. but i never noticed it until you mentioned it. seems to be so small there is not any issue. does the standard WISE clamp compensate for this slant?

    thanks for the picture Kwun.

the standard bracket either the C-bracket (for crank) or the L-bracket (for dropweight) will put the gripper on straight position.
CovinaStringer ever mentioned this weeks ago.
since you have used your machine from 2009, it looks like no issue to badminton stringing, but I have no idea for tennis stringing.
