Specs for a new Desktop

    I am looking to upgrade my current desktop. I am not sure what build should i go for.. My budget is around 2K. thats all..

    I am not looking for a high end gaming on but something that I can use for daily basis and it is fast enough to video and graphics editing..

    Please help

    Just to confirm, is that $2K in Malaysian dollars? Not sure on the price of components out there.

    Pay twice as much for half the tech just because it's "pretty"? No thanks...

    That's why it's in quotes, sarcasm is hard to get through online :)

    I personally think the rounded look with all the white looks a little fem but whatever.

    Haha, i am currently looking at i7 Intel Processor.. i am still confused into what should i get

    Depends on what you're trying to do. If it's just for email and websurfing then just get an i3 series, if you use it for more then the i5 series, unless you do intensive gaming or video editing you really don't need an i7 unless you just like paying more for something you don't really need.

    more ram and an SSD would speed up most systems more than an i7 over an i3 would.

    I got it at last..Here are the specs

    1.Core i5 - 2300
    2. Asus P67 M-LE
    3. Corsair 4gb 1333 RAM

    The rest are pretty standard..

    32-bit Windows 7 or Ubuntu.
