I am writing this from Mumbai (India). I had bought a new pair of Yonex VS Ultima 79 Pro shoes from the biggest sports distributor in Mumbai - Selection Sports Centre, on 22nd Nov 2010. By 2nd week of Feb' 2011, the right shoe started to tear & open up on the outside of the little toe. Having promised a written 3 months warranty for complete replacement, i submitted the shoes on 21st Feb'2011 (one day before the expiry of the warranty). I was told by the shopkeeper, to contact him after 15 days as he would send it to New Delhi to the actual importer. Even after much persuasion, he did not give me the name & contact details of the importer. Can anyone give me the contact details of the importer of all Yonex Sports Goods & Footwear in New Delhi (India)? And having gone for the so-called high quality Yonex product, i fail to understand how can a shoe tear up in less than 3 months? What can i do to get a replacement? Can someone help me? Thanks a ton in advance. Anupam Agarwal.
Looks like: http://yellowpages.webindia123.com/details/Delhi/Delhi/Sports+Accessories/19433/ Sunrise Sports India Private Limited 62, Upper Ground Floor, Barbar Road, Delhi, Delhi - 110001 011 - 23412888, 23414488 (or: http://www.zibb.in/manufacturing/pr...te+limited/in/delhi/new+delhi/110001/32282508) Yonex Ultima is only the cheaper replica version of the actual "high quality" model btw
Hey thanks a ton...that was so prompt & helpful. & i had no idea about Ultima being a cheap replica. I was sold the product as the latest & recent model. Which are the better models in shoes currently & their approx price pls??? Thanks a ton again.
This is the latest range which should be available in India as well at some point: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...-Shoes-range?p=1622344&viewfull=1#post1622344
in my area, Yonex shoes got 3 series, the [World champ] series is the cheapest one, price is around $26-$30 USD only, then the [Ultima Pro] series which is around $35-$40 USD, [SHB] is the high end series with price range from $70-$120 USD.
Yonex HQ should stop Sunrise from producing these replicas of the SHB series which are destroying the Yonex brand imho. For that amount of money, consumers can purchase a good pair of badminton shoes from other brands eg Victor.
demolidor: No one is responding to the numbers you gave me of Sunrise Sports, New Delhi. I think its a planned con-game. Sealman: COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU, Sealman.
Did you try the one in the zibb link? Sunrise India is perfectly legit, maybe disorganized , but no cons ... I don't think they would call it Yonex Sunrise India Open Super Series if something wasn't right there. Sunrise Headquarters is in Singapore btw, with offices in the respective countries like Malaysia and India ...
