    Default VIDEO: DarthHowie Stringing a Victor Meter X JJS + Gosen R4X110 @ 25 x 27.5 lbs

After sharing my string bed frequency data in the thread started by @visor http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...string-tension

I thought I could share with the community how I string badminton rackets for myself and friends. In this video I'm stringing my own racket.
    Comments and questions are welcome.
(I'm sure you'll notice some oddities:
    1. starting the mains with both fly clamps and fixed clamps
    2. using loose string to thread the cross between 2 main grommets -> I don't like using awls
    3. using tooth floss to help thread cross string through shared holes -> I don't like using awls)

    Stringing Details:

    Stringer: DarthHowie
Machine Setup: Gamma 6004 + Wise 2086 + Chudek Side Supports + ToyoZouki Fixed Clamps (GM-02106)
Wise 2086 Settings: Constant Pull & Prestretch 10%

My Personal Racket: Victor Meteor X JJS (Dry Weight: 88.5g, Balance Point: 303mm)
    String: Gosen R4X 110
    Tension (main x cross): 25 x 27.5 lbs

Method: 2 piece 4 knot, Top Down proportional for crosses (top cross strung at 22 lbs, next 3 crosses strung at 26 lbs, all crosses after strung at 27.5 lbs).
Mains come out of grommet B12 and knots are tied off at grommet B6.
Cross comes out of grommet B10 and finishing knot tied off at grommet B5.
I deviate from the Victor pattern by skipping the last bottom cross which would normally go through grommet B8.

String Bed Frequency (Measured by CarlTune App): 1294 Hz

I love the fact that it's a rough string. That's probably why i now prefer this string over the zymax 65 for singles, but the reverse for doubles. My apologies to the loud background noise in the beginning. Was watching the evening news..

I love the fact that the recommended tension is "18-23 lb".

My first couple of jobs were done with half-closed eyes. Now, 30/31 PS with one eye on the telly.

I just purchased a Victor Thruster K9000 3U with dry weight 87.4g (plastic wraps removed) and BP: 309mm.
Will string it later this week with Ashaway Zymax 65 @ 25 x 27.5 lbs. Hopefully i can put up a video and more importantly test the racket out.

When i get some spare time, I've been meaning to put a video up using tooth floss to thread string through shared holes instead of using a string mover or awl as an alternative method.

I don't think I've seen a video starring a TK9000 yet... I'd have done one myself, but I've no camera.

You and Paul had the luxury to string all the Victor players and their newest gear during AE2014.. I've saved that string chart of all the players you guys did as a point of reference. Too bad you guys are too busy to be able to measure weight and BP... I think there are plenty of BC members in the UK that would be willing to volunteer their time to measure this info for the sake of science!

If we go again next year, I'll try and make a couple of videos... selfies (hate that word) with players get a bit boring.
