And the crowd goes wild! All 30 of them ....

Abian has certainly been on fire since the Swedish Open

4 out of 5 events were won by the top seeds in this event. MS were won by 2nd seed as 1st seed withdrew, so Abian was the top seed. The only exception being WS where a 3rd seed (Larisa) won the event(highest seed being 2nd seed since 1st seed withdrew too). If I remember correctly, same pattern has been observed in AE 2011, 3 out of 5 events in the AE were won by current world no 1.
From my understanding, a more consistent player gets a higher ranking, was it not? I am baffled as to
why we shouldn't look at the rankings? Can you explain it to me please?
Was there any statistic that support your 99%? I am interested to know .

30 is good. At the Austrian IC I think I was the only spectator who wasn't somehow connected to a team (official, family member, whatever).

Shocked I am a little. But taking into consideration what the players might have gone through back home, it's a possibility. Strong earthquake, tsunami, many aftershocks, fires in Tokyo and other cities, damage to infrastructure, loss of communications, absence of knowledge of the safety of relatives and friends, radioactive material in the air and in the water, shortage of food, reduction in the number of the metro and Japan Rail services, lack of petrol for cars, rationing of electricity, and a possibility of an impending recession. I'll be hardly surprised if they are just a little shaken. By the way, Shibuya and Shinjuku are have been dark for some time. Minatsu is based in Chiba, which has suffered some damage from the earthquake. I'm surprised that she managed to win the previous tournament a week earlier. Give them a couple of months, and they'll be back rolling over their opponents ex-Chinese .

It's from Saturday only. But of course we can see others on the tournament website and a few on Badzine.net too
