Just bought the SHB-102 LTD to go along with my SHB-102 MX. I'm good for 4 years now.

I dont know why. To me, these 3 series looks so cheapy. Yonex used to release shoes with a better colour combination that makes it look elegant and classy
IMO

The grip of the JP shoes seems to be better than the SP ones. A friend of mine who was wearing the SP 101MX but now using the JP 102MD felt there is better traction and grip on the court. The mid-cut 102MD felt more stable and have better overall support too. I myself have yet to use my 102MD as I am using and rotating my older pairs of shoes.

Somehow I can understand, Yonex keeping JP grade exclusively... but it somehow bothers me a tad. I'd like to have the black-white pattern of the limited edition but unfortunately I would have to import them.
The blue and red colors don't fit to my style, cause they look to flashy and somehow not elegant enough --> cheep. I don't know why, it depends on personal preference though.
Could anyone tell me the difference between mens and women's model of the 102? If I had the choice, I prefer the red-white colors of the female version.

Ladies sizes are smaller and the largest size is up to a certain size only as compared to unisex models. However, if your feel are small enough and can fit the ladies model, by all means go for it. I have seen guys with small feet do wear the ladies model.
Some of YY ladies shoes model colour scheme do look better than the unisex model. I find them more subdued as compared to the unisex version louder colours in certain models.Last edited by aramistuscany; 11-11-2011 at 08:30 AM.

Same here
and at the absolute widest it's ~11.5cm (without socks) ... I haven't tried the 102's but AramisT mentioned they were a bit roomier than the 101's ... 92's should fit as well I imagine.

So u think 102 will fit? Whats the biggest size they have?

Most likely they should fit. Have been using the 85's myself which are 3E's as well ...
Looks like the 102LTD's come in 11.5UK max according to Yonex UK/ and the regular ones in 12.5/EUR 47 (I assume because the LTD's are rebranded JP versions hence the usually higher pricing). In Japan it seems 29.0cm is the largest which is 10.5UK isn't it so there might be an error in converting for these LTD's on Yonex UK. The shop here seems to have EUR45 as max which = 29.0cm and 10.5UK ...
Since the 81's are Japan only as well, the max for them is also 29.0cm btw ...Last edited by demolidor; 11-14-2011 at 04:49 AM.
