hitting the frame a fault??
halo evelione i will cut to the chase ...hmmm if you hit the frame and you opponent fail to retrieve it will it count as your score?

wow.....wow...it's not a faul? cool ...then why don't pros use this to their advantage? according to my experience the deception is nearly uncounterable....=P

hmmm yea got a point...but it's still frustrating when you're waiting for a super big smash but your opponent hit the frame...have to make a huge dive to the net ..=D

why would you intentionally hit the ball with the frame? it's like destroying your own racquet especially if you have a high tension.

It was illegal before the 1960s, it was called a wood shot for obvious reasons. As the frames were wider being made of wood maybe it was easier to control aswell.

That's the direction I think badminton will head towards once we've mastered stroke deception, and we're not even close to that.
Not only do the professionals have to control where the bird goes after they hit, but also where they hit the bird. Next we'll be trying to hit the feathers instead of the cork.

How about hitting the shuttle with the handle?
I don't see any badminton laws against that being a fault...
As a matter of fact, quite often during exhibition games, the pros will use the handle to do a net shot!
eg. Rexy and friends.

hitting the frame will break the racket?? i think thats crazy talk i hit my frame so many times and it only have a few paint chips no racket break !!

My strings are only in the racket in case I miss the frame![I]f you hit the frame and you opponent fail to retrieve it will it count as your score?
A single, clean hit off ANY part of the racket is a legal shot. I've yet to see a use the handle, though...
