yah y go thru all the trouble, unless u r buying like a whole truckload of rackets and they r much cheaper over there.
perhaps u can give him a cut off price that if its below wat u gonna pay then ask your friend to buy it, if not might as well buy at home, if unforseen circumstances happen to the racket at least u can bring it back to the shop

hi.
sorry but yonex is expensive here. Compared to prices in Hong Kong and Malaysia, yonex racquets are almost twice the price here in Manila. I had to ask my brother to buy my MP-77 in Kuala Lumpur (thanks to bugjan72, totoro others in this forum). Here, the MP-77 is around 9,000 pesos. In Hong Kong and KL, it's around 4,100 pesos.
Good luck! I hope your purchase is SARS-free.

Last I checked the mp99 in China costed almost as much as it does here in Canada. It's cheaper in Hong Kong SAR because it is a speacial aministrative region. How many is the yonex is US$$?Originally posted by MikeJ

However, if u r going for "imported" brand, such as yonex, well, the price should be not cheap, and be careful about "fake" unless ur friend has some knowledge about rackets and know how to tell whether it's a fake or not.
