I apologize to bring up a topic that has already been covered, but its my first post and didn't want to revive a threat from 2005. The problem is my Yonex makes the clicking noise by the cone so I took the grip off and the screw out but I am not able to remove the shaft from the handle(or the cone). Any suggestions of how to break the glue? Thanks a lot
the cone of a typical Yonex racket is made of a conical shaped wooden core (which is a part of the handle) and an exposed plastic cone glued over it. over time, the glue might loosen and the result is the clicking noise. to fix it, you need to first detach the plastic cone by sliding it up towards the racket head, and then glue it back to the wooden cone with fresh glue.
If you can't turn to loosen the racket handle from the shaft after taking out the screw, I suppose the only way is to replace with a new wooden handle That is, break the handle into few pieces But before you do that, find a new handle first
If you can't find a new wooden in your place, Pm me with your address, I can send to you and bear in mind the cost of sending could be higher than the handle lol
So you guys are saying there is no way to remove the plastic cone from the cone if it doesn't fall off?
