    Hi all ! :)

Just checking if anyone knows where we can get replacment Yonex badminton racket butt caps? (see below)

The above could be a butt cap for a Yonex tennis racket.
However, there are various sizes ( 1/8 , 1/4 , 3/8 , 1/2 and 5/8 ), so i'm not too sure if any one of these measurements could be for badminton rackets.

    Can anyone help? :crying:

The butt caps sold at Tennis Warehouse are meant for yonex tennis racquets and would be too big for badminton racquets. The sizes you mentioned above are the tennis grip sizes.

Do you have any old/unused or broken racquets? You could use the butt cap from the racquet.

Thanks again for the prompt and informative reply Sealman. :)
    As usual, you dont disappoint.

I am temporarily using an old Yonex racket's cap, but it's a 'Made in Taiwan' YY.
Functionality-wise, there's no issue ..... just that the words 'Made in Taiwan' ..... :crying:

    Dingboy,

You could try emailing Yonex directly. I had a similar issue. The zip mechanism broke on the supplied racket case for my NS7700 and Yonex UK sent out a replacement free of charge; although it did take a few weeks. Worth a try.

Also, I'm pretty sure I saw a recent photograph of Lin Dan's racket without the buttcap. Presumably to change the 'Balance Point' of his racket.

Thanks for the info bro .... i will give it a try. :)

I kind of 'damaged' my butt cap when i was experimenting enlarging my grip size using the heat shrink sleeve method.
Interesting thing when i removed the damaged butt cap, was a hollowed-out hole in the wooden handle filled up with silicone (i think), i guess thats how they create the different weight classes for each racket.

Tinkering with the kind of material (and how much) you fill up that hole with, it will invariably alter the BP i guess.
