Haha I had a top 8 yesterday but overlooked some names but 1-4 probably

    Axelsen 1
    Quach 2
    Lehikoinen 3
    Penty 4

After that, 4 out of Fladberg, Bruun, Lale, Yartsev, Grachev, Claerbout, Corvee, Green

A predictible tournament, where national assosiations select their "best" junior players. At least thats what they say....

Countries are limited to the number of enteries per event. Denmark have only entered Axelsen and Quach. Think they are eligible to enter a third player not sure why they haven't.

Must've been all the switching between Polish Open and Euro Juniors that I saw Bruun on the list :D. I do see Fladberg as 3rd MS though ... (the underlined of course being the four i'd think would be them out of those eight)

Sonia Olariu is apparently seeded (9/16) for this. I hope she can make something out of it. She did good at the Team competition (except against England, but oh well).

I know :)eek:) I was shocked too.:)

I think it's fair to say that it will be a Axelsen-Fladberg final.:) hopefully the SF between Quach and Axelsen will be good.:)

I would say look out for Emre Lale (9/16) but he is drawn in the same section as Quach.:(

Just think how good the MS for Denmarks Thomas cup will be in 5-7 years time...

Surely the match of the day

    2:15 PM MS
    Denis Grachev [5/8][Russia] - [Ukraine] Artem Pochtarev 22-20 24-26 21-19 0:59

In line with past disapointments not scheduled for the tv-court

One to watch: Anna Thea Madsen (DEN) still U17 (funnily enough during the team prize ceremony I was wondering who that little boy was :D)

Prettiest name: Océane Varrin (SUI) (still U15!)

Coolest name: Thomas Thor Thomsen (of course :p)

    Not Afrodite Christodoulou (CYP)? :p

The Icelanders have a lot of cool names, e.g. Ólafur Örn Gudmundsson.

Let down by her last name :p, let's make it an honourable mention :). Maybe one of our forum members is on the Icelandic team again, forgot who it was at U17 2009 ...

Turns out this match was on a BWIN court, at least I think since today I see there are actually matches on BWIN . Never in a million years would I have guessed a junior tournament was allowed to be gambled on! So the Cumulus court is the BWIN court ...
