Nail Polish Remover
Argh! My sister spilled nail polish remover on my racket. The paint is soft in the affected area now, but it doesn't come off. Is there some way to remedy this? Thanks.

Repaint it with nail polish? How about going over it with clear nail polish? I dunno.......

Can you try to blow dry it? or put it under the sun, but make sure the temperature is not too hot to spoil you racquet.
Never happened to me before, so, just trying to give some suggestions.

not much you can do about it if the paint is already softened. I think the best now is to let the racket dries off the solvent in a warm or heated room.

you will need to put on a coat of clear lacquer to protect the paint. when the nail polish remover (like paint thinner) contacted the paint, it destroyed the harden shell of the original paint. the result is the paint will always feel rubbery or soft. you can use clear nail polish, or clear lacquer model paint to coat it.
and next time, don't remove your nail polish holding your racquet...

I am sorry to report that my respect for some forum members has reduced slightly in light of their obvious expertise in the art of nail polishing. Do not think that 'my sister/wife/girlfriend told me' excuse will convince anyone! Quantum, maybe you should remove all the paint from the racquet, it might look really cool!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but am really curious to know whether its safe to remove (yes, intentionally remove) racket paint using nail polish remover / paint remover ?. I usually use sand paper to do that, but I thought using nail polish remover will be a lot easier.
