hey guys so im planning to get a yonex arcsaber 10 and im debating which colour to get. The regular red or the Peter gade white? suggestions please? tough decision. thanks.
The Spec for Arc 10 and Arc 10PG are the exactly the same just different in colours. Unless you like Peter Gade very much, it would be better to buy standard racquet (Arc 10) instead of signature racquet (Arc 10PG). One day Peter Gade retires from competitive game, you will be stuck with the racquet.
No contest. Arc10PG is beautiful - probably the best looking racket Yonex make right now. The standard version is just meh - probably the second ugliest high-end Yonex (after the Arc-Z).
I would go for PG why do you want the normal one when you can have a signature series? Also the colour is pretty good
Why would that be so bad? A racket is a racket, if you're playing with it does it matter? In reality, I care very little over how my rackets look, just how they perform but... given the choice between two exact same rackets with different paint patterns I would choose the more aesthetically pleasing one regardless of whether it had someones signature on it. In this case I think the PG is the better looking racket.
PG all the way, just soooo sexy. If i stick with the arc10 long enough, i'll probably get a pg version of my own rather than just admiring my friend's but it's up to you, do you prefer something very eye-catching but a bit over done now (red) or sth very calm and classy looking (white)?
I am an ARC10 user myself, and I do have both the regular modeal and the Peter Gade edition. I gotta agree with the majority of responses before mine, in that the PG version is amuch nicer looking racquet. Definitely the one I prefer between the two. Cheers
Sorry guys... For me I prefer the RED version... simple... you can sign on that racket with your own signature what..... can do.... Hehehehe.... no offense you guys...
Wow - the exact reverse of my own opinion. I consider the strawberries-and-cream A10 to be one of their best ever (along with the old AT700), but I just wish they'd used the black DEMO version as the production model - http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...-10-Arc10-Demo-2UG5-(black-amp-white-version) just LOOK at it!
thanks for the help guys! i think ill go PG. i like both but when PG retires im wondering wouldn't the racket be worth more?
I bought the PG version after chinese new year and now the racquet was send to Sunrise for the claim of defact. Then, I bought the red version from Singapore and realize that the old version has more fun and pack with more power compare to the PG version. The overall weight of 3u PG version is light compare to red color version. If you really want to taste the real Arc 10, I strongly recommend you to get the old red color version and strung with NBG-95 at 26/28. Lastly, I feel that the PG version is a cost reduction version of the legendary Arc 10.
There will always be some variation in the specs of rackets. You just may have gotten two (one red and one pg) at different ends of the spectrum.
yes i agree with druss, i think thats why yonex gives a range for weight (3u = 85-89) and barely mentions balance point as it is extremely difficult to produce every single racket of the same model to be say 87g on the dot, especially given the large quantity they actually produce. ive personally had an arcz th that was light and flexible and an arcz that was heavy and stiff (both 3u) and when i compared my rackets to my friend's, my arcz th felt just like his arcz (yellow)
