Is Soo beng Kiang still coaching/playing?

I was watching Thomas Cup 1992 Final last night between INA and Mal. Men's doubles Rexy/Ricky vs Cheah Soon Kiat/SOO BENG KIANG was great and I think the hero was Soo Beng Kiang who made the last smash that took the Thomas Cup from INA's dominance.

Since then, Cheah Soon Kiat appeared on news regularly, but now, what happend to Soo Beng Kiang? Is he a coach now? I am just curious what he is doing now.

Coaching, possible. Playing, not possible. He's quite old now, close to 40 I'd guess. A colleague of mine met him at a restaurant last month, but can't seem to recognize him until it's time to go home...

if i m not wrong, beng kiang was born on the year 1968... (have to check my database at home.. )

ohh.. i thought it was soonkit's smash that ends the game in 1992.. i would love to have the chance to watch it again!

the last i've heard about him was about a year ago... he appeared in a local college's advertisement to promote one of that college's courses... it was some business course and he was one of the students there...
