Need a little help. i have use both of these strings, however, since adapting well with the zymax 70 (been using for a over half a year) i find myself wanting to use the Yonex 0.70 string (lack of stock od zymax). anyway, the question is, i use 28lbs with the ashaway, and with the brief knowledge that people/stringers have said that the bg65 ti loses tension.. i came across a few posts of people saying to string 2lbs more to compensate for the loss..
    is this true?

any help/feedback/experience would be most appreciated

Well yes BG65ti does lose tension, but not as quick as BG65, 65ti loses a bit in the first week, then levels off, maybe try 1lbs higher with 65ti. Although it (65ti) will lose tension faster than other strings.

One thing you should know about the 65ti is that it's damn slippery. So, slices and tumbling net shots are more difficult.

thanks for the heads up visor, never really thought about that... then as a very quick q, out of the bg66 ultimax, bg85, bg80, bg85, bg65ti, whcih of these would you consider suitable to an allround player (pending towards a hard hitter) arrows point to the bg66 ultimax but i dont want to restring all the time.
    thanks

I would go for BG80 for a hard hitter

    +1

Although I don't think BG65Ti is as slippery as people make it out to be. You might want to give BG66UM a try, and see if you like it, as well as trying BG80.

made my decision in just waiting for the zymax 70.. thanks for all the replies though :)
bg 80 was the yonex go to string for me, but it never lasted long. the middle of the stringbed just frays too much too early.
    cheers anyway
