I have the voltric 70 (2010 model) i got it for 2500 pesos in the phillipines equivalant to 57.65 right now current to exchange rates. You see this is a extreme bargain i already know its real i have checked yonexs website and everything. It it is slightly headheavy with a medium flex shaft. I love it because before i had this i had a nano 100 yonex strung at 22 with black knight. I thought my smashes were decent for a head light racket. with this being a headheavy i felt like my smashing power folded over many times. And the tri voltage system yonex devised is pretty beast. I can do everything that my nano did and can smash super hard. MY vt70 is strung with karkal string @ 28lbs. It is everything ive dreamed in a racket. I couldnt ask for anything better (except for a vt80 lol)

i just got me a VT5 this morning and i cant wait to have it strung this afternoon and tested tom. I'm thinking of having it strung with BG65ti or NBG98. What do you guys think? tension will most definitely be 23-24.

i would get the bg65 ti cuz you can smash harder with it and it is more durable cuz it is integrated with titanum or something. but bg65 usually loses 2 lbs in the first week so i would string at 25 to compensate for string lost. also ngy98 is super expensive and its mre suited for control.i would get a string that is designed for speed cuz thats good for defense and offense congrats on getting a voltric hope u like it

i wanna ask a question... is vt 7 serial no and the cone no are laser printed??? i scare to buy because there are a lot of imitated yonex rackets which are almost the same or can say 100% the same as the original at the outlook...

    Hi All,

My friend bought me a VT 7 yesterday as a present from the Yonex Store in one of our malls. I am planning to put BG 66 or BG 80 strings in it. The sticker racket says the maximum tension is 24 but the stringer/sales guy indicated on the warranty card that the maximum tension is 28-29 (I don't remember what he exactly wrote). Could it be that he is referring to the VT 80/70 for that kind of tension?

The guy was a bit rude and out of it so I didn't bother asking him. :-(

Both VT5 and 7 are heavy head and medium stiffness.

I currently use the VT5, Nice to smash, good clears and not too bad at net play. I choose VT5 over VT7 as it is overall heavier giving a nicer weight to the smash and not as head heavy as the VT7. At first I strung it with BG65 @ 26 lbs, which was better than after restrung it with Li-ning AP62 @ 24.

Really worth the money but the medium flex means you need a "wider" stroke-arc to get a good hit compared to VT-70 or 80. Maybe will look at VT60 when its out here in Malaysia.

Thanks for the reply, moomoo. I decided to try it with BG65 strings at 25lbs. Can't wait to try it out this weekend. :-)

A brand new Voltric 70's price in Yonex SM Megamall, Philippines is about 12,500 pesos and that price is still the same as it was last year ago and Voltric 7 is priced at 5,900 pesos....

What is the condition of your Voltric 70?

Same with VT9 too, even at the top of the handle (around the hologram area)....

I have used VT 5 (yellow/black) for almost a year. That is a very good value racket. Head heavy and med flex shaft.
And I currently brought a VT 80, it feels very similar to VT 5, just slightly heavier and feel more solid on impact.
