Interesting new injury I found, if I grip the racquet hard enough on a small grip and I don't cut my nails, I can cut my own thumb. I didn't realize the cause of the cut till I re-opened it again playing the next day o_O

To help stop the incessant laughter of my friends and family I was wondering if has this ever happened to anyone else lol

Well, it happens to me but it was the edge of the grip doing the cutting and only when it's really dry. I would put alittle superglue on the cut to seal it rather than having it continuously heal and tear while I play.

Nope... just too dry. For cuts that's superficial and small, superglue is surprisingly handy for keeping the skin together.

Sure. Use that and cut off circulation in your finger.
